Description

The most versatile clamshell bucket for mini-excavators and truck cranes.

Clamshell buckets of the BMO/S line are equipped with a powerful cylinder and a constructive geometry which make them suitable not only for loading, but also for light excavations. Thanks to their compact overall dimensions, these buckets are ideal for truck cranes. The smaller models are intended for mini excavators starting from the weight of 1.5 tons.

Loading aggregates and digging.

Clamshell buckets are gripping devices formed by two shells in synchronous movement, put in motion by hydraulic cylinders. In general terms, these attachments are suitable to load of gravel, sand and earth, or to the dig hard soil and compact surfaces. Depending on the constructive geometry and accessories, clamshell buckets can have a specific application. They can be mounted on a wide range of machines, such as truck cranes, backhoe loaders, mini excavators, agricultural machines, stationary cranes, material handlers, harbour cranes, rail road excavators and so on.

A complete range of accessories.

Clamshell buckets can mount a full range of accessories, which can make them suitable for specific applications. The most common optional are hydraulic rotators, mechanical rotators (free revolving), bolt-on digging teeth, anti-wear counter-blades, scrapers (or ejectors) to clean the shells from mud and extensions of different lengths.

Different rotator options

The attachments for crane and excavator can be equipped with a rotation device, either mechanical (free, 250° rotation) or hydraulic (hydraulic motor with continuous rotation). Depending on the type of equipment, the rotator may be incorporated in the main frame of the equipment or mounted on the top of it. Idrobenne offers a wide range of high quality hydraulic rotators.

High quality components.

All products are built using high-tensile Swedish steel for the structural parts and use wear plates (Hardox) for parts in contact with the handled materials, such as the blades of the buckets, the tines and the tips. The large diameter pins are made of special steel, hardened under heat treatment. The bushes are provided of an internal spiral for the distribution of grease. The entire production cycle is certified according to ISO 9001 standards.

Custom links.

Orange peel grapples, clamshell buckets, log grapples and similar attachments must be mounted on operating machines through a cardan link. This part allows free swinging in the four horizontal directions (so-called pendulum mounting). Idrobenne can manufacture and supply custom-made links for any operating machine such as truck cranes, excavators, material handlers and earth moving equipment.
